Mary Beth Marsden is the local Emmy award winning anchor of ABC 2NEWS at 5, 6, and ABC 2NEWS The Latest at 11.
Mary Beth joined WMAR-TV in May of 1988 and began her career in Baltimore as a reporter on the morning newscast.
She's now a familiar face in the evenings!
Born in Washington, D.C., M.B. grew up in Maryland and graduated with a communications degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. She hasn't traveled far from home, working at WJLA-TV in D.C., WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, VA and WNEP-TV in Scranton, PA.
Her most memorable moments include covering the Pope’s visit to Baltimore, cheering on the Ravens to the Super Bowl, and the efforts made to inform viewers during and after September, 11th, the Serial Sniper Attacks, and the wars in Iraq.
"This job is full of surprises and responsibilities. The stories we cover never cease to inspire, or teach, or touch me in some way."
Mary Beth says her favorite role is that of Mom. She lives in Baltimore County with her husband and three children, Jack,Georgie, and Tess.
